Where we live...and other stuff

I thought I would post some pictures of where we live. The first picture is the view from our balcony. We overlook the pool and the street and Wes likes to go out there when he gets bored inside (don't worry we tested to see if his head could slip through on the first day...it can't).

The other day I was reading on the couch while I waited for the laundry to finish. Wes has an obsession with our laundry basket so of course he started playing with it. Then he started crying so I get up to see what was going on. With all his genius little brains he had managed to pull the laundry basket down on the ground, pull out the clothes and climb inside. Once he got to the end he couldn't figure out how to turn around and was stuck. haha By the time I got the camera out he had figured it out (of course, he's so smart :) and went right on playing.

The last picture is of us playing The Office Trivia Game. Linzi and Justin have been catching up on all the seasons (1-4) and once they finished they bought the game from walgreens and challenged Todd and I. We had a lot of fun, and I WON!

Adobe Photoshop

In my spare time down here I have been learning how to use adobe photoshop to do my scrapbooking. Here is one of my first experiments!

Wes Swimming

Wes loves taking baths and has recently started practicing his swimming in the tub...its pretty funny :)

Day at the Park

Today Jamie, Amy, and I took our boys to the park. As you can see instead of grass our parks have sand, but the boys didn't seem to mind. We were lucky enough to have the park all to ourselves (it is always PACKED at night time) and the baby swings were in the shade so it was nice and cool...well cooler at least :)

For some reason I can never remember how to get the pictures in the right order...but oh well! The first picture is how Wes manages to transport things while he is crawling. He uses this method for everything from his blanket to his sippy cup and it cracks me up :) The one of Wes standing is for my mom and the rest are from yesterday at the pool. Jamie invited us to their pool to play. The boys always have a blast together and yesterday was no different (us girls had fun too it felt AMAZING ). Note that none of the pictures are of them actually in the water. For some reason the tiles at the pool are so much more fun than the ones in our apartment, dont' ask me why they just are. After about 15 minutes in the water the boys got bored and wanted to crawl around. They chased each other all over until they were both exhausted. I don't know about Mathew, but Wes took the longest nap he's taken in a LONG time, and I got a lot read in my book :)

Linzi's Birthday

Yesterday was Linzi's Birthday! I baked her a cake and we invited the Alkema's over to help celebrate. Wes had fun playing with Luke and Alison. He also LOVES having Justin and Linzi around all the time (he gets bored with us). The cake (funfettie) was a little over done but noone seemed to mind and Luke even thought it was good enough to stick his fork right into the pan to try and get a second peice :)

Dinner with Grandpa

Tonight we went to dinner with Grandpa Hart because he is going back to Missouri tomorrow. Wes had been cranky all day because of his new tooth but he sure put on a smile when he saw his grandpa and his cousin. oh, and Wes is 10 months old today :)

Beach Baby

Wes loves going to the beach (a lot more than I do). Yesterday Todd got off of work early because American Idol complained that they were being too loud. Wes and I were just finishing up with Mathew and Jamie (where the first picture came from) when Todd called. Wes took a much needed nap and then we all headed to the beach. He doesn't seem to mind that the sand gets everywhere and makes a huge mess when we get back home, he just thinks it is a blast!
